GOD saved me at age 36 and gave me a hunger for HIS Word to get to know HIM intimately. PMI was the tool for Inductive Bible Study for me that started with the Gospel of John and for nearly 10 years I sat in PUP classes drinking in deeply. In 1992 was in BSL training but only to apply that training in 2003. When I finally answered that call the LORD impressed on me to disciple others intentionally. So with many prayers and others encouraging again the CALL came this year to apply for DL. It has been overwhelming to me, yet it is not me that is doing these things but my LORD through HIS Holy Spirit in me working this out to go deeper still. | ||

Inductive Bible study has "trained" me to search for the purpose of reading any passage contained in God's Word - to KNOW God - so that I might walk in His ways as an obedient follower of Christ. Carefully observing the who, what, when, where, why, and how helps me to stay focused on the author's intent of the book. Using the Bible as my primary source of study, the meaning of the text comes alive as I make simple lists from key words and search the meanings of words from the original languages. I can do that!!! ...and without a seminary degree! 1 Timothy 4:7 tells us (me and you) that we are to "discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" - studying God's Word inductively causes me to be intentional with my walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:6 says, "as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him" - which means to touch things (and people) as you go about your daily routine, leaving a path that others may follow. As I walk in Christ, it is a joy to have others walking with me. Hmmm...selah. | ||

The Inductive Bible Study has been a life changing process for me. Previously I was trying to live out something that I truly did not understand… I was trying to apply portions of scriptures without understanding the context of what it was written. I did not understand Doctrine, the teachings of God which are the foundation of my faith. The Inductive Study Method has helped me to stay focused on His Word, it has allowed me to understand Truth for myself. I love the structure because through the process I am being intentional with my studying not just reading and not remembering what I just read. I love the fact that the whole purpose of Bible Study is to know God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit and through the years studying Inductively it has helped me in my spiritual growth and walk. May I forever seek to learn of Him through His Word, it alone has the power to change me and how I handle life. There is an excitement to know there are 66 books and I can know and understand them all. Now when I come to that “therefore” in scripture I truly understand what it’s there for! | ||

How Inductive Bible Study has changed my life. It has been life transforming! I'll never be the same again! Studying God's word by this Method has blessed my heart! Remembering back to 2005 when I attended my first Precept Bible Study Class, it was a little overwhelming, but I remember the LORD saying in my heart... I want you to know ME in a deeper way! So, by His grace I have been equipped to study the Word of God by the Inductive Bible Study Method. My relationship with the Lord has grown richer, sweeter, more precious than I can describe. I just love Him and know Him in a deeper more intimate way. My prayer life has become richer as well. As I understand what God says about the walk of a true believer and because of my position In Christ, my heart's desire is to Walk in a Manner Worthy of the Calling to which I have been Called. By studying the Word of God inductively, standing firm in the Truth of God's Word, in the power of the Holy Spirit I pray that my life will reflect Christ more and more. "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen " 2 Peter 3:18. | ||

My first Inductive Bible Study Class was Romans. Our BSL encouraged me to attend the upcoming class. I still remember the day that my understanding of the three fold aspect of salvation, "Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification" was established after studying the lesson for the week and then our BSL drew a simple chart on the white board. Previously, I knew that these were important words and that they were special for me, but really did not have any depth of understanding. Over the years, every class I have taken has further strengthened my faith in God and deepened my relationship with our Lord and Savior. My confidence in the Lord continues grow. A new treasure nugget of truth is found with every lesson. My ability to live each day more and more victorious and satisfied in Christ is aided by being able to discover truth and share with others. |
